1. How to Create a Personalized Format After Editing a Note:
a. Go to the Note Page: After creating a new note with Berries or by reviewing a note from the past, go to the note page.
b. Edit and Perfect Your Note: Customize the note to your preferences. Add/change/remove sections, format with bullets or paragraphs, list the plan by diagnosis or in another format, refer to patients/clients by their name or not, use quotes, and make any other adjustments to perfect the note to your needs. Berries will use the note you edited as an example and apply your formatting and style for future notes.
c. Click on Learn: Once the note is perfect for you, click on the 'Learn' button on the right side of the note.
c. Name Your Format: Enter the name for your new personalized format and click 'Save style & formatting'.
e. Using Your Personalized Note: In your next session, simply choose your personalized note in the “Format” dropdown and start a new session. Berries will then generate your note according to what it has learned from you.
2. How to Create a Personalized Format from Scratch:
a. Navigate to 'My Formats': On the Berries home page, click on the 'My Formats' section in the top right corner.
b. Click 'New personalized format': In the center of the 'My Formats' page, click the 'New personalized format' button.
c. Name Your Format: Enter the name for your new personalized format and click 'Save & customize'.
d. Fill in the Sections: You will see text boxes labeled 'Subjective', 'Mental Status Exam', and 'Assessment & Plan'. Fill each section with an example of a note in your preferred style and formatting.
Note: Include your ideal note, whether very detailed and long or concise and to-the-point. The closer your example matches your preference, the better Berries can adapt.
e. Save Your Format: Once you have filled in the sections with the perfect example, click the 'Save' button in the top right corner.
f. Using Your Personalized Note: In your next session, simply choose your personalized note in the “Format” dropdown and start a new session. Berries will then generate your note based on the example you provided in your personalized format.
3. How to Review and Edit a Saved Personalized Format:
a. Access 'My Formats': Go to the 'My Formats' section from the Berries home page.
b. Select the Format to Edit: Click on the name of the format you want to edit.
c. Make Your Changes: Edit the 'Subjective,' 'Objective,' and 'Assessment & Plan' sections as needed. You can add new details, adjust existing content, or remove sections to better fit your current needs.
d. Save Your Changes: Once you have made your edits, click the 'Save' button in the top right corner to update your format with the new settings.
4. Troubleshooting Common Issues:
a. Format Not Appearing: If your personalized format is not appearing in the dropdown menu, ensure it is saved correctly.
b. Incorrect Formatting: If the generated notes do not match your personalized format, revisit the format settings and make sure each section is filled with clear and comprehensive examples.
c. Update Issues: If updates to a personalized format are not reflecting in your notes, try refreshing the page or re-saving the format.
5. Tips and Best Practices:
a. Using Templates: Leverage Berries' built-in templates as a starting point and customize them to suit your needs.
b. Combining Formats: Create different formats for various types of sessions (e.g., initial assessments, follow-ups) to streamline your documentation process further.
c. Regular Updates: Regularly review and update your personalized formats to ensure they continue to meet your evolving documentation needs.
Note: Berries allows you to create up to 5 personalized formats, offering significant flexibility to tailor your notes for various session types and preferences.
